The grape used to make the great red Burgundy wines and as the base for many Champagnes is a temperamental variety, which grows only in the best terroirs. It appreciates cooler climates, and when well worked and vinified produces vibrant wines of elegant, seductive, almost sensual (raspberry, mulberry, cherry, prune) fruit. Excellent for making white (as the base of sparkling wine), rosé or red wines.

A light ruby colour, typical of this grape variety. Aromas of cherries and black plums. In the mouth, it shows a discreet and balanced hint of toast that gives elegance to the wine. Its length and delicateness make for a great gastronomic wine.
